Principal Becky Morlok has more than 35 years of varied experience identifying and providing human resource services & solutions.

Becky Davis Morlok, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Becky has over 35-years of experience in human resource services, in legal and medical fields, the federal and county court systems, non-profits, media, hospice and elder care; she is no stranger to challenge and conflict. She embraces change and transition as opportunity and thrives by empowering companies and individuals to welcome the future proactively.

Becky has successfully navigated companies and employees through economic downturns, reorganization, mergers, new corporate ownership, downsizing, and culture change. Her experience as an HR consultant with C3 Career Care includes several independent, internal investigations in workplaces throughout Anderson and Oconee Counties. These investigations have included charges of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and financial impropriety. Becky’s HR experience combined with her paralegal degree (litigation specialist) and years in law firms and federal courts bring both legal assessment and perspective through the eyes of employers and employees.

Born in Rutherfordton, NC, Becky finished high school at St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, NC after which she obtained a BA degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice from NC State University in Raleigh. She holds a paralegal degree with a concentration in civil and criminal litigation from the National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta, Ga., and is a graduate of the first class of The E. W. Scripps Leadership Institute in Breckenridge, CO.

Prior to forming C3, Becky was employed for 19 years at the Anderson Independent-Mail beginning as benefits administrator before being promoted 3 times in 5 years, ultimately to Vice-President/Human Resources. During those years she helped guide the workforce through three publisher changes, new corporate culture and ownership and a corporate split. Her responsibilities included management and staff training and development, compensation and performance appraisal programs, grievance and complaint procedures, exit interviews, employee recognition and communication programs, workers compensation, safety programs, administering company policies, employee programs and benefits.

Before joining the Independent-Mail, Becky spent 10 years as the corporate law and civil litigation paralegal for the firm of Jones, Spitz, Moorhead, Baird & Maddox in Anderson, SC. Prior to moving to Anderson, she served as Deputy Clerk of the US District Court and Assistant to the US Magistrate in Asheville, NC.

Becky is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Anderson Area SHRM chapter. She holds two national certifications: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the HR Certification Institute and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society of Human Resource Management.

She is also a certified Zenger Miller facilitator and a popular guest lecturer, keynote speaker and workshop leader with churches, non-profits, businesses and universities including Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, Anderson University, Clemson University, Independent-Mail, Foothills Alliance, the United Way, YMCA, Harte-Hanks, Inc. and the EW Scripps Company.

Becky currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Independent-Mail’s Brighter Christmas Fund and the Anderson Area Society of Human Resource Management. She is a member of the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Anderson Class IX, Leadership Anderson Alumni, Anderson Area Medical Center Caduceus Society, past board chairman of Family Adult Counseling and Education Services, has served on the Board of Directors for the Anderson Area YMCA, Junior League of Anderson County, Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, Anderson Area Chamber Board of Regents, Easter Seal Society of SC, the Foothills Rape Crisis and Merger Alliance Board: Anderson Alliance for Prevention of Child Abuse and Anderson/Oconee Children’s Center, and the Anderson University Business Advisory Board and MBA School Planning Committee.
